Nose

Entry into the nose is thick and vanillic while also being super juicy (hint: time in the glass really amps up the juicy and bright side: let this whisky open up fully!). Initial notes of brine and dusty old oak move to peach skins and crepe paper; with air, green and fresh bursts of aloe vera and cucumber skins take over. In the mid-section the profile remains bright with green apple, plum skins, lemon balm and melon, opening into mint tea. The base is spirit-driven with honeyed pears and dried lavender, elevated by savoury touches and stewed apple.

Palate

Bright tropical bursts and sweet pear juice open the palate, and the great body and texture are immediately notable. Whipped cream and kiwi come next in the mid-section, delicate and restrained, as further spirit-driven notes of orange sherbet mingle with base notes of honeydew melon, green grapes and Milk Arrowroot biscuits. The fruity, bright spirit and light oak structure creating an overall fresh, crisp and oh so juicy palate.

Finish

Moving to the finish we are carried by wafts of vanilla as the oak profile broadens towards the back. Poached pears, vanilla wafer and custard come next, followed by light orange, lychee and piney oak. Long after the last sip is gone notes of chamomile, white sugar and pencil shavings trail off with generous length.
