American Oak Cask HH0207 was distilled in March of 2000 and bottled in June of 2017, making it just shy of seventeen years old. This 200L American Oak ex-bourbon cask produced only 196 bottles in the classic Sullivans Cove American Oak style, and is one of the oldest single cask whiskies we've ever released.
With waxy bananas and apples along with pastry, grapefruit curd and musk sticks on the nose, this whisky also exhibits bright and fresh characteristics of peaches straight from the tree, kiwi, almonds and vanilla despite it's advanced age. The waxy and silky texture lingers on the finish with vanilla pudding and stewed apples. This cask proves that under the right conditions, Aussie whisky can be aged for 15+ years with outstanding results.
