HH0540 was distilled in November of 2000 and decanted in January of 2018 for a maturation of seventeen years and two months. Aged in a 200L American oak ex-bourbon cask, this single cask single malt whisky is bottled at 47.7% abv. A beautifully vibrant malt, held together by the depth that only age brings.
Each bottle comes in a unique, hand made, solid oak presentation box, and includes a letter of authenticity signed by Master Distiller Patrick Maguire and Production Manager Heather Tillott.
Nose: Vibrant and deeply inviting with banana blossom, coconut butter, and ripe cherries, along with a good dose of waxy tropical flowers, cocoa, blackberry jam, bergamot and kiwi fruit.
Palate: Coconut cream, vanilla sponge cake and fine milk chocolate, with candied orange rind, dried papaya and brioche. Waxy and coating in the mouth.
Finish: Vanilla, coconut and preserved fruits. Very long, malty, cocoa drives the finish and lingers almost indefinitely.
